Now there’s a real looker. Missy Maze has the figure most ladies would yarn for, if she didn’t have such big feet. I hear tell she used to work down at the Watering Hole Saloon back in the old day before Mister Mayor started courting her. Mister Mayor tells her that a real lady don’t work in a no Saloon. So she left the Saloon after Pip found someone to replace her, another really good looker, DizzeyLeez. I thought Missy Maze could sing real good but DizzyLee can really belt out a tone that you can hear from one end of Ebel Alley to the other.
I hear tell that Missy Maze has a sweet tooth for the Captain but he’s no interested in the gold-band. Hamner once put the move on her in the back room down at the Town Hall after the Miss’z hide his medicine. Of course, you know that she’s currently living at the Boarding House on down the street from the Pool Palace. All those fancy dancy ladies lay around over at Todz’s Pool Palace all day long but at night they have lots of friends over all the time at the Boarding House. I even saw Mister Mayor there but Missy Maze wasn’t there. She was over at Snake Gully getting a new dress for some dinner party down by the tracks. Let me tell you, I’ve never missed a party at the tracks, that is, as fare as I can recall. There was this one time that my lumbago was acting up and I got some medicine from Petesey. It’s guaranteed to cure all your ills. But I went anyway. Just ask the Stumpy. He’s always there, he’ll tell you.
So anyhow, this one time Missy Maze was a partying away and who do you think past by? Oh, Hi there Pip, what’s you doing these days? And how’s that new girl, what’s her name? She’s a real looker but she’s no Missy Maze. Well, Missy Maze was a partying away and along comes Mister Mayor. They had a big fight and Pip took her home and Hamner had to fix the sides. Yoz, he’s the sheriff you know, he had to escort Mister Mayor back to the Town Hall to sleep it off.
