 Tattered Tales from Ebel Alley™

Pinkezze

The Gardeen

Down at the sign at the opening of Ebel Alley you can find Pinkezze. She’s always there. Oh that little Pinkezze, she’s such a cutie cake and has been the guardian of Ebel Alley for many days. And she’s so little, the smallest resider here in Ebel. I don’t know what happened to her and Blue Boy, but one day he was gone. She’s been sitting down at the sign Hmaner put up forever, just waiting for Blue Boy to come home. At one time, she and Blue Boy were with the circus doing a walk across the top of the tent but when Blue Boy left these parts, her heart wasn’t in it anymore. She was lost without him. I hear tell that Blue Boy was lured away by the glitz and glamour and bright lights from the other side and thought he would make lots of money there so he and Pinkezze could finally get hitched. But that sad thing is, Blue Boy has never returned home and nobody has heard from him either. I hear tell that Stumpy heard down at the tracks that Blue Boy was japed on the other side by Rubertzo, the Ringmaster from the circus, but no one has the heart to tell Pinkezze that her Blue Boy will never return to Ebel.

I hear tell that Robertzo has tried to court her after Blue Boy left but she didn’t want anything to do with him. I guess he was way too tall for her. So now Pinkezze has become the guardian of Ebel Alley and warns us when intruders are near by. She gives out a really loud cry when the exterminator is near so we all have time to hide in the tunnels down by Snake Gully. That’s the only time that we go near the tunnels because the residers of Snake Gully aren’t the nicest of folks you’d want to meet in a dark street. In fact, they are down right slime buckets we don’t associate with them except in dire emergencies.
