Pipz

The Piper

Pip sure can play the pipes. Stumpy down at the tracks tells me that Pip came in on one of the trains. I hear tell that Mister Mayor hired him when he was in Timbuttwo to come and get rid of the trash here in Ebel Alley. And when I’m talking trash, I’m not talking trash. The story goes that Pip arrived in Ebel and went right to work and did a fine job but when Mister Mayor wouldn’t pay him like he said he would, Pip starting playing his magical flutenbagger pipes and all the little ones started fallowing him right down to the edge of Puddle’s Lake. I hear tell that it was only after the residers tried to emaciate Mister Mayor that he agreed to Pip’s terms. It wasn’t long after that that Pip opened the Watering Hole Saloon.

Now days Pip only plays his flutenbagger pipes at the Watering Hole and all the fancy dancy ladies flock there after the brighten’ gets dark. As long as he keeps playing, they keep dancing. He plays his other pipes when DizzeyLeez does her songsterring. I don’t know what it is with his flutenbagger pipes, even I dance when I hear them. One time Pip took them to the Founder’s Day picnic and played and played and played all day. Everyone was ready to drop from the dancing but as long as Pip played his flutenbagger pipes they kept on a dancing. Stumpy is the only one who didn’t dance at the picnic. I hear tell that he can’t hear a thing from all those years down by the tracks. He finally had to wrestle Pip to the ground and take the fluterbaggen pipes off him. Everyone in Ebel Alley voted to make Pip play his fluterbaggen pipes only at the Watering Hole Saloon for not longer than the day is short. If Pip didn’t abide to the rules set forth, Yoz, the sheriff, was to take him to the jail and send the fluterbaggen pipes with the Captain to bury in Puddle’s Lake. But Pip liked Ebel Alley so much that he agreed to the terms and has been pipering only when he’s allow to. I do have to tell you that Pip can make some sweetener music with those pips.
