A MOTHER'S NATURAL INSTINCT!
The first week of August 2010, we discovered 3 baby
kittens nestled in a corner by the porch at mother-in-law's house.
They didn't have their eyes open yet. We checked on them daily to
make sure they were being taken care of. August 9th granddaughter
Emilee found that there was only one kitten remaining and guessed the
mother cat had moved them but neighbor said she hadn't seen the mother
cat since early morning. Being an animal lover, Emilee was
concerned for the remaining kitten and took it home. Her female
yorkie was still nursing her litter and began to care for the kitty and
let her nurse but kitty couldn't stay at their house as her stepdad is
allergic to cats. So she called me to come and get it. I put
the kitty in the cage and one by one I let my female yorkies in to
investigate. Feebie decided the kitty was HER baby and is taking
care of the motherly duties while I hand feed the kitten. Here is
Feebie August 10th with her new baby!

August 23. 2010 I took kitty to see the vet, not for an
appointment but rather to find out what sex the kitty is and to meet his new
owner to be, the 11 year old grandson of Dr. Ralph. Turns out, kitty is a
he and the grandson just can't wait! Hope to start kitty on solid food
this week, he's been fighting me when trying to feed him with the bottle, my
hand looks like it went through a war. I think he's been nursing off of
Feebie but doesn't look like she has milk, but then, you never know what mother
nature will do. Kitty climbs up on the couch to sleep and play with the
puppies.
