About Reggie

Reggie came to us from a dear friend in Florida.  Our friend told us they are like potato chips, you can't have just one yorkies.  Oh how right she was.

Reggie is very intelligent and so expressive, I swear that she has a human trapped inside her body.  She is constantly by my side or on my lap.  She loves to be brushed and will lay so still and smile as long as you are paying attention to her.  She doesn't eat when I'm away and will sit at the door, patiently waiting for my return.  She is also the leader of the pack and will bark if a fly farts crosswise.  She was born in FL and is the oldest and biggest of 4. Her mother weighed only 4 LB, her siblings were 4.5, 4, and 2.5 LB but Reggie didn't understand that she was supposed to stop growing.  She weighs 8 pounds now and has traveled with us many times.  Reggie is the best mommy.  In August of 2002, Reggie whelped 7 puppies during one of the hottest days of the year.  She looked like she swallowed a football.

We call her trash girl because you don't dare leave a garbage bag anywhere near where she can get at, even if she has to jump the fence.  One Christmas eve I had been doing some last minute cleaning and had to make a late night delivery.  I got home at 1AM to find my kitchen delightfully redecorated by Reggie.  She had everything ripped out of the garbage bag all over the kitchen floor.  Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper and didn't get to be until 3AM after cleaning up her mess and wrapping presents.  But I love her just the same!

If you rub Reggie's belly, she smiles.

Sometimes she also sleeps with her mouth hanging wide open.

Photo below taken the night before her last litter arrived.  This was to be Reggie's last litter.  Little did I know it would also be her last days here on earth.  She's been such a good mommy but it's time to let her rest.  She had just turned seven in March and was getting a bit cranky now and then.  You couldn't have ask for a better yorkie and friend.   Rest in Peace my sweet angel.

OH MY, we're going to have a herd.....AGAIN!

and here they are.........five girls and one boy, born March 27, 2006.  On Monday, April 3rd, we lost the little boy.  On Tuesday, April 4th, Reggie crossed over Rainbow Bridge.

Reggie's last litter:

Love  *  Faith  *  Hope  *  Charity  *  Star

She gave her girls a healthy start and left them in my care.  Her daughter, Sissy, stepped in and took over motherly care as if they were her own.  She was joined by Sissy's daughter, Roxie and 19 week old Dante who became their chief cleaner.
